HC Automation Solution Analyst

Human Capital Shared Services Analyst for robotics and automation works as a liaison among stakeholders in order to elicit, analyze, communicate and validate requirements for innovation and automation initiatives. The automation analyst must understand business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements and may recommend solutions that enable the organization to achieve its goals.

Reporting to the Robotics and Automation Senior Business Analyst for Human Capital Shared Services, this role will work with cross-functional teams from different business units to identify, scope, and document results on Automation. This role will also help identify opportunities for automation to drive operational excellence and the enhance candidate and employee experience. The automation analyst will be responsible for leveraging critical thinking to ensure all initiatives are accurately scoped, processes mapped, and test plans documented for the successful implementation of Automation solutions. This individual must be proficient in project management, business analysis, planning, and executing automation initiatives. A basic understanding of Human Capital business systems and industry requirements is necessary to provide the foundation for analysis of business and user needs.

Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Serves as a key resource on complex and / or critical automation projects
  • Performs complex conceptual analysis
  • Define project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases and elements forming project team establishing project budget
  • Monitor project progress by tracking activity resolving problems publishing progress reports recommending actions
  • Leading calls with multiple business stakeholders to elicit, prioritize, and finalize business requirements
  • Working together with technical subject matter experts (SMEs) and solution architects to capture detailed functional requirements for solutions supporting the goals of the business stakeholders
  • Understanding project requirements, writing specifications and clearly documenting them for our IT Automation team to deploy automation projects in an optimal manner
  • Construct workflow charts and diagrams Create required workflows using different online collaboration tools like Miro, Trello, Teams, Slack, etc.
  • Formulating and defining user stories, use cases, and test cases
  • Studying system capabilities The analyst must be competent to consider most business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment.
  • Recommend controls by identifying problems writing improved procedures
  • Follow-through on the mitigating actions on identified risks and issues throughout the Automation deployment phase.
  • Performs necessary UAT activities in compliance with the business requirements and conduct periodic testing on deployed automation solution (RPA bot or chatbot) to ensure stability of deployment
  • Perform daily, weekly and monthly reviews and analyses of current processes using operational metrics and reports
  • Create informative, actionable and repeatable reporting that highlights relevant trends and opportunities for automation improvement
  • Conduct insightful, ad hoc analyses to help investigate ongoing or one-time operational issues related to deployed automation initiative
  • Reviews confused chatbot utterances, analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and enhance NLP by improving the conversational workflows and continuously training the chatbot
  • Demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis to identify and recommend test scope and test approach improvements
  • Completes Methods & Procedure or any documentation required (e.g. JDI or Job Aid) for automation project transition and/or closure
  • Create and maintain issue logs, meeting minutes, meeting schedules, project summaries and updates.
  • Works with the Senior Automation Analyst in updating the project boards or workplan
  • Serves as Tier 1 support of the Delivery team on automation defects and fixes required

    Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 5+ years of Business Analyst experience that includes some time spent gathering and documenting business requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in process evaluation, process deconstruction, process improvement, solutioning, testing, and / or remediation
  • Previous experience in business analysis, reporting, problem identification, resolution and root cause analysis
  • Strong experience working with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Project and Microsoft PowerPoint (ability to create, edit, track)
  • Has experience and understanding of RPA solutions (UiPath, Automation Anywhere, Blue Prism, Pega Platform, Ayehu, and etc).
  • Strong stakeholder management and ability to build a strong partnership with internal and external clients
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills, as well as interpersonal skills
  • Strong project management, ability to successfully manage multiple tasks at any given point
  • Ability to impact operations and effect change without being confrontational
  • Detail oriented, analytical and inquisitive
  • Ability to work independently and with others
  • Extremely organized with strong time-management skills
  • Demonstrated experience in leading technology implementation preferably with Service Now, Oracle, Kronos, Taleo, and ADP is an advantage
