Job Purpose
The Sea Logistics Credit Check & Import Invoicing Specialist ensures accurate customer credit validation and the timely, precise preparation of import invoices. The role supports revenue protection, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction by validating quotations, coordinating credit approvals, and producing invoices in line with agreed commercial terms and service-level targets.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform Credit Check
- Ensure that all customer shipments have a valid and approved quotation prior to invoice issuance.
- Raise tickets to the Pricing Desk when quotations are missing or require confirmation.
- Coordinate with Credit Control (CCL) when customer credit limits are exceeded.
- Ensure credit-related actions are completed within 24 hours (95% SLA compliance).
- Address escalations within defined turnaround times and company escalation protocols.
- Import Invoicing
- Review, analyze, and verify quoted rates and charges before invoice generation.
- Produce and release accurate import invoices in accordance with agreed pricing and contractual terms.
- Maintain a minimum 95% invoicing accuracy rate.
- Support local branches (OCC) in achieving Deferred Trade Expense (DTE) targets.
- Meet productivity and quality KPIs
- Collaboration & Operational Support
- Work closely with regional and global Sea Logistics stakeholders to ensure seamless process execution.
- Ensure clear, timely, and professional communication across operational interfaces.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by adhering to standard operating procedures and quality frameworks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Logistics/Transportation, Administration/Management or related field
- 2-3 years of experience in logistics
- Good communication skills
- Basic Knowledge with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Cognitive Skills and Attention to details
- High degree of accuracy and accountability
- Customer- and solution-oriented mindset
- Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
- Professional, positive, and resilient under pressure
- Demonstrates commitment, adaptability, and ownership
- Willingness to work on shifts, including public holidays, as operationally required
