The opportunity

Buhay is a Philippine-based marketplace connecting SME borrowers with SEC-licensed lenders - helping Filipino SMEs grow into ₱1 Billion companies by revolutionizing access to fast, transparent financing at competitive rates. We're profitable, scaling fast, and connected with 30+ financial institutions across the Philippines. Founded by a Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree with prior experience building a Series B fintech recognized by the IFC, United Nations, and Asian Development Bank for work in financial inclusion. The team has raised over $80M across ventures and brings experience from Silicon Valley tech companies, top consulting firms, and investment banking.

We are looking for someone to own the pipeline from qualification through to closing. You'll take qualified leads from our outbound team, guide borrowers through the application and lender matching process, and ensure deals convert. You'll start by specializing in one product line - secured or unsecured - and grow into managing both as you build depth. You'll also lead and develop a team of analysts supporting your pipeline. This role reports to the Head of Sales.

This is where deals happen. You're not just managing a pipeline - you're building relationships with borrowers and lender partners, solving problems that stall deals, and coaching your team to move faster and smarter. Your number is the company's number.

What you'll do

  • Own and manage a portfolio of qualified leads through the full deal cycle - from SQL to term sheet acceptance to disbursement
  • Present Buhay's financing solutions to borrowers, assess their needs, and match them with the right lending partners
  • Lead and develop a team of analysts - assign work, review output, set standards, and build their capabilities
  • Drive deals forward by coordinating across borrowers, lending partners, credit, operations, and product teams
  • Manage lender relationships day-to-day - ensure partner responsiveness, negotiate terms when needed, and unblock stalled deals
  • Maintain pipeline discipline: accurate staging, realistic forecasting, and consistent CRM updates in HubSpot
  • Provide structured feedback to the outbound team on lead quality - what's converting, what's not, and why
  • Hit monthly and quarterly revenue targets

What we're looking for

  • 3-7 years in sales, relationship management, business development, or client-facing roles - experience in financial services, lending, or B2B is strongly preferred
  • Track record of closing deals and managing a pipeline with accountability to a target
  • Experience leading or mentoring junior team members - you don't need to have managed a large team, but you need to know how to develop people
  • Strong communication skills; ability to build trust with both SME borrowers and institutional lender partners
  • Comfortable engaging senior stakeholders at financial institutions
  • Commercial instinct - you understand deal economics, not just deal stages

Nice to have

  • Working familiarity with lending concepts: credit analysis, collateral valuation, debt service coverage, term sheet structures, secured vs. unsecured products
  • Direct experience processing or closing mortgages, business loans, or SME credit facilities - not just selling them, but understanding the mechanics of approval, documentation, and disbursement
  • An existing network of SME owners, CFOs, or financial institution contacts that you can bring into the pipeline from day one
  • Exposure to credit committees or lender approval processes
  • Conversational ability in regional dialects (Cebuano, Ilonggo, Waray, etc.)

  • ₱80,000-90,000/month base salary with uncapped, performance-based commissions tied to revenue closed - there is no ceiling on what you can earn (OTE of up to 30,000 - 40,000 commissions per month + base salary)
