Job Summary

The Growth Development Specialist (Lead Generator) is a high-energy, results-oriented professional responsible for identifying, engaging, and qualifying new business opportunities to fill the sales pipeline. The ultimate goal is to schedule discovery calls or demos for the internal sales team, contributing directly to the company's client acquisition and revenue growth goals.

Job Description

  • Prospecting and Research
  • Target Identification: Research, identify, and qualify potential leads and target accounts within defined industries, geographic areas, or ideal customer profiles (ICPs).
  • Data Management: Utilise CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and prospecting tools (e.g., LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo) to accurately track, maintain, and update prospect information and activities.
  • Account Mapping: Conduct in-depth research to understand the prospect's business, challenges, and key decision-makers to tailor outreach strategies.
  • Outreach and Qualification
  • Multi-Channel Engagement: Execute high-volume, multi-channel outreach campaigns using cold calls, personalised emails, and professional social media messaging (primarily LinkedIn).
  • Value Proposition Delivery: Clearly and concisely articulate the company's value proposition and service offerings to pique interest and generate initial conversations.
  • Lead Qualification: Conduct thorough qualification calls (using methodologies like BANT, MEDDIC, or GPCT) to determine the prospect's needs, budget, authority, and timeline.
  • Appointment Setting: Successfully convert qualified leads into scheduled meetings, demos, or discovery calls for the internal Account Executives (AEs).
  • Team Collaboration and Reporting
  • Handoff: Seamlessly hand off qualified opportunities to the sales team, providing comprehensive background information and context on the prospect.
  • Performance Tracking: Consistently meet or exceed weekly and monthly targets for outreach activity, qualified leads generated, and meetings booked.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on lead generation performance, conversion metrics, and key learnings from outreach campaigns.
  • Feedback Loop: Collaborate closely with the Marketing and Sales teams to refine messaging, target lists, and campaign strategies based on performance data and market feedback.

Job Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of proven experience in a high-volume Lead Generation, Sales Development Representative (SDR), or Business Development Representative (BDR) role, preferably in a B2B environment.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal communication skills, including the ability to conduct professional cold calls and confidently speak with senior executives.
  • Writing Skills: Strong, concise, and persuasive written communication skills for crafting highly personalised and effective cold email and social messaging.
  • Technical Proficiency (CRM): Demonstrated proficiency in a CRM platform (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, Dynamics) for tracking all sales activities and managing the pipeline.
  • Technical Proficiency (Tools): Experience using modern prospecting tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, or similar lead intelligence platforms.
