Position Overview

The Business Functional Analyst (BFA) will work on the delivery of Daily Close Reporting requirements , automation of Reporting disclosures in CRC and Revenue migration to strategic sub-ledger. The role will require collaborative engagement with Project SMEs, Run-the-Bank SMEs and IT Teams to ensure successful delivery of the project. The BFA will be a member of the team performing process impact analysis, business requirements, reporting rule definition, UAT executions, conduct detailed investigation and root cause analysis of data quality issues.

Your key responsibilities

  • Collate and document RTB requirements and able to understand/relate this to the Business Requirements
  • Perform analysis, document business requirements and collate feedback for sign-off
  • Work with GY BASTA SME to define global rules and automation of forms
  • Define and write requirements for Sub-ledger/Ledger and Reporting ( CRC) implementations
  • Define data attributes requirements and coordinate with Data sourcing team for implementation
  • Define reporting rules/rule authoring for Report Automation
  • Independently research issues / questions from the legal vehicle controllers and business area controllers relating to project deliverables to facilitate a resolution, escalating where appropriate
  • Perform and assist with Financial and Regulatory reporting data analysis for project delivery
  • Assist with all phases of the project life cycle i.e. Analysis, design, development, testing and implementation to ensure project deliverables meet stated expectations for scope, quality and business objectives
  • Provide SME support for project related issues and propose solutions
  • Conduct Business Processes and System Architecture Training to RTB users.
  • Work closely with IT to help define Functional Design documents as needed
  • Define user acceptance test cases, executing and managing the activity
  • Lead or perform UAT and highlight key issues and risks to the Stakeholders
  • Summarize UAT results and recommend UAT sign-off to the Stakeholders
  • Develop training and handover material prior to Go-Live

Additional Tasks / Responsibilities:

  • Ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately
  • Effectively communicate relevant project information to other project team members
  • Resolve and/or escalate issues in a timely fashion
  • Ensure appropriate use of Deutsche Bank tools, processes, and methodologies
  • Undertake project support and test management duties subject to experience/demand

Your skills and experience

  • Background in the Financial Services Industry - preferable Investment Banking - Global Markets, Corporate Banking
  • Proven experience working within the profession of Business/Data Analysis within the Finance arena
  • Demonstrated experience working on Global General Ledger Projects (preferably SAP)
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Advanced knowledge in MS Office products (Access/Excel) Excel skills are key - vlookups, pivot tables
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills fluent in English (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work in virtual teams and in a matrix organization
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment in Manila
