Job Title: Graphics Proofreader

Summary: The Graphics Proofreader will be responsible for reviewing and verifying customer-supplied art files against in-house generated proofs, ensuring all required elements are accurate and in compliance for print production.
About the Job
Key Duties:
- Review information from customer-supplied art files and compare with in-house generated art proofs for required print elements including product names/numbers, varieties, ingredients, warnings, UPC, various symbols, and placement
- Collaborate with graphic design and customer service teams for specifications such as size, colors, text content, graphics, and image placement; checking for spelling, grammar, and punctuation
- Review color separations and step/repeat measurements and content for production print files
- Verify artwork components either manually or using electronic verification tools (Adobe Acrobat and/or ESKO Automation Engine PDF viewing workflows)
Essential Skills:
- Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat (tools, PDF format)
- Print production/printing background and technical knowledge
- Graphics experience preferred, familiarity with Adobe Illustrator
- Extreme attention to detail
Qualifications:
- Artwork review and approvals experience
- Knowledge of proof approvals
- Desired expertise in text copy proofreading, artwork print color separation, and product labeling
