What does a day in the life of an Animation Designer look like
- Support new website build with micro-animations, graphics, and brand-consistent design
- As an Animation Designer, you'll be responsible for creating 2D/micro animations and graphics that bring our brand to life. You'll collaborate closely with the team to ensure all visual elements are consistent, engaging, and aligned with our brand standards.
- Design and deliver 2D/micro animations for web and digital assets (no advanced 3D required).
- Support the new website build with animations, graphics, and brand-consistent design.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to refine and update design materials as product functionality evolves.
- Maintain brand consistency across all animations and graphics.
- Present creative concepts clearly and communicate effectively with team members.
What are the required qualifications of an Animation Designer
- Animation & Design Expertise
- Proven experience creating 2D and micro-animations (no advanced 3D required).
- Ability to design custom diagrams and explainer animations for solutions, avoiding stock imagery.
- Skilled in producing animations with a clean, tech-focused B2B style (product/object animations only; not character-driven, dramatic, or cute styles).
- Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Figma + Lottie (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, After Effects, Photoshop).
- Familiarity with HubSpot is helpful.
- Experience with frontend development and UI/UX design is a plus.
- Background in designing for customer experience-focused websites preferred.
- Portfolio Requirement
- Must present a strong portfolio with multiple examples of animation and design projects (not just one-off work).
- Soft Skills
- Strong communicator with prompt responsiveness to avoid delays.
- Awareness of brand consistency and ability to maintain design standards.
- Collaborative personality and strong cultural fit for working within a small, agile team.
