Responsibilities
Product Packaging Artwork and Layout Design
- Ensure timely completion of projects
- Monitor product changes and update product packaging graphic files accordingly (new ingredients, nutritional facts, CPR, other important details to change)
- Ensure bromides are checked and approved before plate or cylinder production
- Review and approve LSDs from suppliers before initiating mass printing
Product Barcode Management
- Generate barcodes for SFI products (Item Barcode and Case Barcode)
- Ensure correct barcode with no duplication and register to GS1 Philippines for approval
- Disseminate a memo of approved barcode to respective departments
Supplier Accreditation
- Assist the Procurement Team in scouting for possible suppliers of Labels and Packaging
- Meet and visit new packaging suppliers; assess if they pass SFIs standards and if they can support our requirements in terms of capacity
- Liaise with supplier representatives regarding problems encountered with labels, carton packaging, mixes packaging and nylon/PE plastic packaging
Creative Works
- Schedule product shooting dates (new product, change of image for an existing product)
- Prepare list of ingredients and layout for product shots
- Prepare materials for product shooting, request finished goods for shooting and purchase the list of ingredients needed.
- Prepare and cook the product
- Layout and food styling for final product shot
Qualifications
- College graduate of any course
- At least 2 years experience as a graphic designer
- At least 1 year experience in product packaging and label design
- With time management, photography, copy writing and proofreading skills
- Creation and design of interactive media, animation, visuals/ sound effects
- Good communication skills, basic Microsoft office skills (Word, Excel and Powerpoint)
- Product packaging and labeling specification
- Expected to be updated with trends and interpret briefs
