Enables full stack solutions through multi-disciplinary team planning and ecosystem integration to accelerate delivery and drive quality across the application lifecycle. Performs continuous testing for security, API, and regression suite. Creates automation strategy, automated scripts and supports data and environment configuration. Participates in code reviews, monitors, and reports defects to support continuous improvement activities for the end-to-end testing process.
Qualifications
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of performance test scripts using Grafana k6 (JavaScript-based scripting).
- Establish and maintain a modular, reusable scripting framework that supports multiple services, environments, and test types (load, stress, soak, spike, breakpoint).
- Implement environment-aware configuration, parameterisation, and secrets handling for performance test execution.
- Build and maintain CI/CD integration for automated performance test execution (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
- Ensure performance tests are version-controlled, auditable, and aligned with engineering governance.
- Execute performance tests and analyse results.
- Identify bottlenecks across application layers (API, database, network, infrastructure).
- Provide clear, actionable insights and recommendations to engineering teams.
- Validate performance improvements and regression fixes.
- Act as the subject matter expert for performance testing across ReadyTech Justice.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, able to translate technical findings into business-relevant insights.
- Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of complex technical domains.
- Collaborative mindset with experience working across cross-functional teams.
- Strong experience with Grafana k6, including scripting, thresholds, checks, scenarios, and custom metrics. , checks, scenarios, and custom metrics. Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript for test development.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation frameworks.
- Familiarity with observability stacks (Grafana, Prometheus, Loki, Tempo, Elastic, or similar).
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, APIs, microservices, and cloud-native architectures.
- Ability to analyse performance data across logs, metrics, and traces.
- Experience with containerised execution (Docker, Kubernetes) is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle
- Knowledge of software testing practices and methodologies
- Knowledge of the Justice sector highly regarded but not essential
- Have 5+ years of Performance testing experience.
- Experience with testing tools (K6)
- Proven track record of identifying and resolving complex software issues.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Experience using Atlassian products
