Job Title: Graduate Power System Engineer  

Location: 100% Remote (Based in the Philippines)

We are seeking a highly motivated Graduate Power System Engineer to support the 

delivery of projects assigned to our Electrical Engineering Team. In this role, you will primarily focus 

on the fields of power generation, high-voltage transmission, and distribution, as well as other 

technical areas required to support business growth.

Key Responsibilities 

Technical Delivery & Project Support 

• Support the enquiry, application, and registration processes for energy projects, including 

HV grid connections, substation design, and generating plant power systems. 

• Assist in performing power system studies using PSS/E, PSCAD, PowerFactory, and 

Hypersim under the guidance of senior engineers.  

• Assist in data collection, report preparation, and planning/scheduling tasks to ensure work 

aligns with project timelines and objectives.  

• Support the review of designs for compliance with relevant Australian Standards, Statutory 

Requirements, and Client Specifications.  

• Contribute to the development of cost-effective engineering solutions through thorough 

research, analysis, and problem-solving. 

• Ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time, proactively communicating any 

challenges to senior engineers. 

• Apply Quality Management System (QMS) protocols to assigned tasks, identifying and 

reporting opportunities for improvement. 

Consulting & Business Development 

• Undertake consulting work in the Electrical Engineering area, focusing on the Owner and 

Developer side of generation and high voltage projects. 

• Support management in pursuing new project opportunities, including preparing tender 

submissions and proposals. 

• Provide technical input that results in innovative solutions for client needs. 

• Proactively engage in team discussions, collaborate with junior/senior staff, and provide 

general project administration support. 

Qualifications & Experience 

Essential 

• Bachelor of Electrical Engineering (recognized by Engineers Australia or equivalent). 

• Progression towards registration as a Professional Engineer. 

• Solid understanding of different Network Service Provider (NSP) standards and 

construction practices. 

• Strong Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) focus. 

• Excellent problem-solving skills and strict attention to detail. 

• Sound communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with all stakeholders. 

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, remote environment. 

Desirable 

• Experience with power system analysis tools, including PSS/E, PSCAD, PowerFactory, and 

HyperSim in RMS and EMT environments.
