About the Role
SN Aboitiz Power Group is seeking a GR Stakeholder Engagement - Consultant to build, sustain, and manage institutional relationships with key government agencies and public sector stakeholders. Reporting directly to the AVP of Government Relations, this position plays a critical role in executing SNAP's government stakeholder strategy, driving executive engagement, and providing cross-government coordination for major renewable energy and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Government Agency Engagement: Develop and execute institutional engagement plans with primary government stakeholders (including DepDev, BOI, PEZA, DOF, BIR, BOC, BSP, DENR, EMB, DAR, NCIP, NCCA, OES, and Congress).
- Executive Engagement Support: Coordinate courtesy calls, executive briefings, and strategic meetings for the CEO and Executive Committee with high-level public sector officials.
- Stakeholder Programs & Alignment: Manage key outreach initiatives such as Power 101, plant immersion visits, stakeholder forums, and strategic publications.
- Strategic Project Support: Provide government coordination and proactive issue resolution for core initiatives, including the Alimit hydropower development, BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems), and other strategic growth projects.
- Planning & Analytics: Maintain the stakeholder relationship database (CRM), prepare agency account plans, track inter-agency coordination, and generate executive engagement reports.
Role Qualifications
Experience & Background:
- At least 10 years of experience in Government Relations, External Affairs, Public Affairs, or Regulatory Affairs.
- Proven track record of direct engagement with national government agencies; experience within the energy, power, or infrastructure sectors is preferred.
- Strong expertise in strategic relationship management, public sector governance, executive communication, and inter-agency coordination.
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Public Administration, Public Policy, Business Administration, Communications, International Relations, Economics, Engineering, Law, or a related field.
- Preferred: Master's degree (MPA, MPP, MBA, LLM, or equivalent).
- Preferred Certifications: Project Management (PMP), Stakeholder Engagement, Public Affairs, or Corporate Communications.
Key Competencies:
- Exceptional executive presentation, negotiation, and stakeholder-influencing skills.
- Deep understanding of government processes, policy dynamics, and legislative environment.
- High resilience, emotional maturity, and problem-solving capability in complex stakeholder environments.
