About The Opportunity
The GRC Program Manager, Senior is accountable for the end-to-end ownership of Dayforce's global internal GRC process and technology operating model, supporting enterprise risk, internal controls, and assurance programs. Reporting to the Senior Director, Enterprise Risk Management, this role serves as the senior business owner for global GRC platforms and associated processes, ensuring scalable, well-integrated, and auditable execution.
This role independently leads complex, cross-functional initiatives spanning process design, platform assessments, vendor management, implementations, integrations, and major enhancements. It partners with senior stakeholders to resolve ambiguous requirements, advise on tradeoffs, and drive adoption and continuous improvement to strengthen control effectiveness, audit readiness, and risk visibility.
What You'll Get To Do
- Own the GRC process and technology operating model for internal controls, assurance, and trust-related activities, ensuring standardized and auditable execution.
- Lead process design, documentation, and continuous optimization of GRC workflows, controls, evidence standards, and reporting definitions.
- Act as the senior business owner for GRC platforms, accountable for functional governance, capability alignment, and operational performance.
- Translate control and program needs into functional requirements, process flows, and reporting specifications; drive decisions across competing stakeholder priorities.
- Lead platform evaluations and vendor engagement (selection, delivery governance, performance management) to deliver scalable solutions.
- Direct implementations, upgrades, and major enhancements, including integrations with enterprise systems to improve automation, data quality, and traceability.
- Establish platform usage standards, documentation, and training; lead change management and adoption across global teams.
- Monitor adoption and effectiveness (KPIs), identify root causes, and lead remediation and improvement initiatives; maintain the GRC technology roadmap.
Required
Skills and experience we value
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Risk Management, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
- 6+ years of progressive experience in GRC, enterprise risk management, internal controls (ICFR/SOX), assurance, or audit, with demonstrated ownership of program/process or platform outcomes.
- Journey-level knowledge of GRC principles and internal control practices, with the ability to assess non-routine situations and apply sound judgment to recommend scalable solutions.
- Experience leading cross-functional initiatives (process design, platform enhancements, integrations, adoption) in global, matrixed environments.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise GRC platforms or workflow-based systems (e.g., ServiceNow GRC, RSA Archer, MetricStream, AuditBoard, OneTrust, Workiva, or similar).
- Demonstrated ability to translate business and control requirements into functional specifications, control mappings, and reporting requirements for Technology/Engineering delivery.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability, including tradeoff evaluation across control effectiveness, audit/assurance needs, user experience, and technology constraints.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including executive-ready documentation, recommendations, and decision support.
Preferred
- Experience supporting platform implementations and major enhancements, including UAT planning/execution and release governance.
- Working knowledge of integrations (data mapping, interfaces/APIs, automation opportunities) and partnering with technical teams on delivery.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CPA, CIA, CISA, CRISC, CISM, CISSP, PMP) or equivalent demonstrated expertise.
Work environment and expectations
- Operates effectively in virtual, hybrid, and global team environments, collaborating across multiple time zones.
- Works a late mid-shift schedule to support collaboration with global stakeholders and technology teams.
- Works independently with accountability for outcomes; leads workshops, governance forums, and design/implementation checkpoints.
- May be required to work extended hours during key implementations, audit/assurance cycles, or critical remediation efforts.
