Drives the delivery of project and key performance indicators (KPIs) reporting, providing guidance on performance and reporting to projects and the project teams.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Working closely with the project controls lead to own, develop, and maintain the performance reporting framework.
  • Establish program reporting process including requirements, cadence, and formats.
  • Defines the level of reporting aligned with, and to assist the governance meetings to support informed decision making at all levels of the programme.
  • Develops and implements a set of standard procedures for reporting aspects of the programme.
  • Coordinates the PMO functions around the reporting calendar and contractual deliverables, centralizes the reporting effort to ensure the contractual commitments are delivered.
  • Works across and with all programme functions in the collection, collation, interpretation and presentation of project and portfolio level aggregated reporting.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders (both internally and externally) to ensure the successful delivery of the reporting function.
  • Manage the quality assurance/control process of the reporting information.
  • Manages the production and distribution of regular and ad-hoc reports.
  • Manages the ongoing continuous enhancement of reporting, identifying opportunities for process and systems improvements.
  • Manages the performance of direct reports in the reporting team. Responsible for managing team(s) to deliver key outcomes and key performance indicators (KPIs), contributing to strategic development and continual improvement.
  • Manages the reporting onboarding processes to ensure a streamlined and fully functional reporting platform is utilized.
  • Drives the highest standards of safety, health, and welfare across the team.
  • Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.
  • Works with other team members and client teams to transfer the practical knowledge relating to the reporting activities and processes.

You'll also have:

  • 20+ years of professional experience, minimum 15 years in reporting/project controls.
  • Industry: construction sector in civil engineering, rail, utilities or infrastructure. Understanding of construction/delivery lifecycle and/or consultancy.
  • Knowledge of PMO and project controls service delivery in one or more sectors (e.g. rail, highways, nuclear, major infrastructure) on major programmes.
  • Good knowledge of PMO and project controls tools, techniques, and software (e.g. MS office/ SharePoint and Power BI, Aconex, Primavera P6 and RiskHive). Microsoft excel (advanced), charts, graphs and data analytics.
  • Experience in client-facing roles, and with supply chain/consultants (PMC).
  • Demonstrable experience of innovation, knowledge capture and transfer, establishing best practice in service delivery.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills. Good written english for professional reports and clear spoken english.
  • Confident and social, not afraid to speak up and able to maintain professional relationships.
  • BS degree in a construction management, engineering or relevant business discipline.
  • PMI-PMP, APM or any AACE specific certification preferred.
