A leading global organisation is seeking a highly skilled Global Tax Manager to join its expanding shared service centre in Pasay. What youll do:

As Global Tax Manager based in Pasay, you will take on a central leadership role within an established shared service centre that supports major operating companies across Europe and other regions. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve overseeing all aspects of statutory accounting and tax compliance for numerous legal entities while guiding your team through significant organisational change.

  • Oversee all activities of the Manila-based tax team, ensuring accurate preparation and timely submission of statutory accounts, annual tax returns, duty returns, VAT returns, Pillar 2 reports, CBCR reports, intercompany transfer pricing support, and other required filings across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Lead the development and implementation of local tax controls and processes to ensure ongoing compliance with evolving accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage half-year and year-end tax reporting packs for several dozen legal entities operating internationally, coordinating closely with group finance teams.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the local tax function and group-level tax directors responsible for indirect tax/duty, transfer pricing, international planning, and overall compliance.
  • Directly manage relationships with external advisersincluding Big 4 firmsand oversee related budgets to ensure cost-effective delivery of outsourced services where necessary.
  • Support group auditors by providing comprehensive information on relevant tax matters during audits and reviews.
  • Drive the recruitment, onboarding, training, and ongoing development of an enlarged team of finance professionals dedicated to specific tax types or jurisdictions.
  • Facilitate the smooth migration of record-to-report (R2R) functions into Manila by establishing clear transition plans and monitoring progress against key milestones.
  • Continuously monitor changes in global accounting and tax regulations to proactively update internal policies and procedures as needed.
  • Promote a collaborative team culture by maintaining regular office-based interactions (2-3 days per week), fostering motivation, performance oversight, and knowledge sharing among all team members.

What you bring:

To excel as Global Tax Manager in this international setting, you will bring deep technical expertise gained through extensive experience handling complex tax matters across multiple countries.

  • At least 8-10 years experience in taxation roles covering multiple prior exposure to UK or European markets is highly desirable for this position.
  • Proficiency with major accounting systems such as Oracle
  • Proven ability to manage a large team of at least 10FTEs, including recruitment, mentoring, performance management, and fostering collaborative working environments.
  • Display excellent interpersonal skills when liaising with external advisers (including Big 4 firms), auditors, internal stakeholders at various levels of seniority, and cross-functional colleagues.
  • Be highly proactive in identifying risks or opportunities within complex regulatory frameworks while remaining responsive under time pressure or tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrate flexibility regarding working hours (including regular overlap with UK time zones) as well as willingness to work onsite several days per week for optimal team cohesion.
  • Bring experience managing transitions from outsourced providers back in-houseideally involving process mapping, change management initiatives or similar projects within large organisations.
