Description
Role Purpose:
Leads the execution and optimization of the Build the Bench initiative by managing talent data, generating actionable insights, and driving stakeholder alignment to ensure a consistent pipeline of ready-now leaders. Translates data into decisions that improve bench strength, activation readiness, and business performance.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Talent Data Management
- Consolidate and maintain talent data across sources (Talent Factors, scorecards, certification, training completion)
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of data used for talent decisions
- Establish and enforce data governance standards across sites and functions
- Analytics and Talent Insights
- Analyze bench strength, readiness, and pipeline health across roles, sites, and programs
- Generate insights on key metrics (bench coverage, readiness, promotion quality, time to proficiency
- Identify risks, gaps, and opportunities; recommend targeted actions
- Build the Bench Execution
- Drive day-to-day execution of the Build the Bench process (Identify → Validate → Assess → Develop → Certify)
- Track cohort progress, certification status, and readiness timelines
- Ensure adherence to activation controls (no certification, no deployment)
- Stakeholder Management and Alignment
- Partner with Operations, HR, Training, RMG, Recruitment, and Support teams to ensure alignment on pipeline needs and readiness
- Facilitate regular governance cadence (weekly/fortnightly/monthly updates)
- Provide clear visibility of pipeline status and required actions to stakeholders
- Reporting and Dashboard Management
- Build and maintain talent dashboards (Power BI or equivalent) for executive and operational reporting
- Deliver structured reports with clear narratives and recommendations
- Standardize reporting formats across sites and geographies
- Continuous Improvement
- Identify process inefficiencies and data gaps; implement improvements
- Refine tracking, reporting, and execution models to improve speed and quality
- Support scaling of Build the Bench across geographies
Requirements
Qualifications – Must Have:
- 3+ years experience in Talent Management, Talent Development, HR Analytics, or related field
- Strong experience in data management, reporting, and analytics
- Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with Power BI or similar tools
- Experience working with talent systems
- Strong stakeholder management experience across Operations and HR
- Proven ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Strong project and execution management skills
