About the Role

This is a full-time remote role at Sycomp. The Global Sales Operations Specialist is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end sales order lifecycle, from processing customer quotations to managing final delivery and resolving any related issues. This role ensures accuracy, compliance, and timely fulfillment, serving as a key liaison between customers, sales, logistics, and supply chain teams. A core function involves proactive management and reporting of backordered items to maintain customer satisfaction and optimize inventory flow.

Responsibilities

  • Order and Quote Processing: Process incoming customer orders and generate quotations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with policies.
  • Order Fulfillment & Logistics Coordination: Monitor order status, collaborate with logistics, and resolve discrepancies to ensure timely delivery.
  • Backorder Management and Reporting: Track backorders, provide customer updates, generate detailed reports, and prioritize fulfillment.
  • Customer Service and Communication: Serve as the main point of contact for customer inquiries and complaints related to orders and quotes.
  • Invoicing & Accounting: Assists in investigation of discrepancies between Purchasing, Receiving, and Account Payable systems as directed.
  • Process Improvement and Analysis: Analyze order metrics, identify areas for improvement in processes, and contribute to workflow enhancements.

Qualifications

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience is typically required.
  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience in sales order management, quote processing, logistics and any IT related role is highly preferred.

Required Skills

  • Detailed oriented is a must
  • English fluency (verbal and written) is a must
  • Has background in working from an IT distributor, reseller, or vendor
  • Proficiency with ERP/CRM systems and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities are essential.
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer satisfaction
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and remotely
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks while still delivering high quality results
  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization as well as outside vendors
