Global University Systems (GUS) is a fast-growing international group of universities and colleges operating across the UK, Europe, North America, and Asia-Pacific. Group Procurement is a global function supporting institutions to drive value, efficiency, and compliance.
This role will be hired at either Procurement Officer or Procurement Specialist level, depending on experience. You will support end-to-end procurement activities, supplier management, and stakeholder coordination within the Centre of Excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and manage procurement activities in line with Group policies and category guidance.
- Handle supplier sourcing, quotations, negotiations, and purchasing within defined spend thresholds.
- Act as a point of contact for procurement-related queries from internal stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate supplier, contract, and procurement records for audit and reporting.
- Support supplier onboarding, compliance checks, and ongoing supplier reviews.
- Collaborate with Category Managers and Finance to ensure smooth procurement operations.
- Prepare basic reports, spend analysis, and insights on supplier performance and market trends.
- Identify opportunities to improve procurement processes and ways of working.
Level Scope
Procurement Officer:
- Focus on transactional and tactical procurement activities (typically under /$/50k).
- Support negotiations, supplier onboarding, and data analysis.
Procurement Specialist:
- Handle more complex procurement activities and stakeholder engagements.
- Provide guidance to junior team members and support process improvements.
- Lead negotiations and support supplier performance management.
Requirements
Procurement Officer:
- 35 years of experience in procurement or a related role.
- Experience supporting sourcing, purchasing, or supplier management.
Procurement Specialist:
- 57 years of procurement experience, including senior or specialist responsibilities.
For both levels:
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Experience working in an international or shared services environment is an advantage.
Work Arrangement
- Work Schedule: 8AM Berlin time (4:00 PM to 1:00 AM)
- Work Location: Robinsons Zeta Tower, C5 Road, Ugong Norte, Quezon City. The area is beside Opus Mall and across Tiendesitas and IPI Pasig. It is accessible from Ortigas CBD, Eastwood, C5 Road, and Rizal areas
- This is an on-site position for 4 months, with the option to transition to a hybrid work set up of once a week after successfully passing the 3rd month performance review.
