Job Summary
The Procurement Manager is responsible for overseeing the company's purchasing activities, ensuring cost-effective procurement of goods and services while maintaining quality standards and supplier performance. This role leads sourcing strategies, vendor negotiations, contract management, and ensures compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Sourcing & Purchasing
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers
- Lead sourcing initiatives including RFQs, RFPs, and tenders
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to achieve cost savings
2. Vendor & Contract Management
- Manage supplier relationships and performance evaluations
- Ensure contracts are compliant and renewed on time
- Mitigate supply risks through contingency planning
- Resolve supplier disputes and escalations
3. Cost Management & Budget Control
- Monitor procurement spend and identify cost optimization opportunities
- Develop and manage procurement budgets
- Conduct cost-benefit analyses for major purchases
- Implement cost-saving initiatives and track realized savings
4. Compliance & Governance
- Ensure procurement processes comply with internal policies and regulations
- Maintain proper documentation and audit readiness
- Promote ethical procurement practices
5. Process Improvement
- Streamline procurement workflows
- Implement procurement systems or tools (e.g., ERP, e-procurement platforms)
- Develop KPIs to measure procurement performance
6. Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with Finance, Operations, IT, and Facilities teams
- Provide procurement guidance to business units
- Support project-based procurement requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or related field
- 7–10 years of procurement or sourcing experience
- 3+ years in a managerial or supervisory role
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills
- Experience handling multiple vendor categories
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, D365)
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or equivalent
- Experience in BPO / Shared Services / Corporate environment
- Strong analytical and financial acumen
