Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Global Payroll Clerk to support payroll operations for domestic and international employees and contractors. This role is responsible for processing payroll accurately and on time, maintaining payroll records, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, and utilizing QuickBooks for payroll administration, reporting, and reconciliations. The ideal candidate will have strong payroll experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage sensitive information confidentially.

Key Responsibilities

·      Process weekly, bi-weekly, semi-monthly, or monthly payroll for U.S. and international employees.

·      Utilize QuickBooks Payroll to enter, review, and maintain payroll data.

·      Verify employee time records, pay rates, deductions, bonuses, commissions, and reimbursements.

·      Maintain accurate payroll records and employee files.

·      Assist with onboarding and offboarding payroll setup, including tax forms and direct deposit information.

·      Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and applicable international payroll regulations.

·      Reconcile payroll reports, general ledger accounts, and payroll-related liabilities.

·      Coordinate payroll tax filings and assist with year-end reporting such as W-2s and 1099s.

·      Support audits by preparing payroll documentation and reports.

·      Communicate with employees regarding payroll questions, discrepancies, and adjustments.

·      Work with HR and Accounting teams to ensure accurate employee and compensation data.

·      Assist with currency conversions and international payment tracking when applicable.

·      Maintain confidentiality of payroll and employee information at all times.

·      Occasionally provide backup for company AP/AR needs outside of the scope of payroll.

Qualifications

·      Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

·      5+ years of payroll or accounting experience.

·      Experience using QuickBooks, including payroll functions.

·      Experience with multi-state and/or international payroll processing required.

·      Knowledge of payroll regulations, tax withholdings, and payroll best practices.

·      Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

·      Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and accuracy.

·      Ability to handle confidential information professionally.

·      Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

 

Preferred Skills

·      Experience working with international employees or contractors.

·      Understanding of currency exchange and global payroll compliance.

·      Experience with payroll reconciliations and journal entries.

·      Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Work Environment

·      Onsite or office presence required.

·      Coverage during US West Coast hours to PH early morning

(8AM-5PM Pacific Standard Time)

Compensation

·      Compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
