Global Payments Team Lead

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the daily operations of the Global Payments team.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of domestic and international payments.
• Monitor payment workflows and resolve operational issues and escalations.
• Oversee payment reconciliations and ensure data integrity across systems.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and banking standards.
• Develop, implement, and maintain operational procedures and controls.
• Drive process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce operational risk.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, banking partners, finance teams, and external vendors.
• Analyze operational metrics and prepare reports for management.
• Support audits, compliance reviews, and risk assessments.
• Coach, mentor, and develop team members to achieve operational excellence.
• Manage workload distribution, performance reviews, and team development plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5+ years of experience in payments, banking operations, financial services, or shared services.
• At least 2 years of people management or team lead experience.
• Strong understanding of global payment processes, payment systems, and financial operations.
• Experience working with international payment methods such as SWIFT, ACH, SEPA, Wire Transfers, and other electronic payment platforms.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
