Job Purpose
The Global Head of Finance Operations - Manila will have operational accountability for IWG's global finance operations delivered from Manila. The Manila organisation is the primary finance delivery organisation for IWG's global legal entity population, including Group reporting, Record-to-Report, statutory accounting and reporting, tax compliance and filings, FP&A and related finance activities.
This is not a functional finance leadership role. Global functional leaders retain functional accountability for policy, technical standards, methodology, functional strategy and process design. The Global Head of Finance Operations - Manila will instead be accountable for the operational execution of those requirements: people, capacity, service delivery, quality, controls, cost, productivity, resilience and continuous improvement.

- Group reporting and consolidation support
- Record-to-Report and general ledger
- Month-end, quarter-end and year-end close
- Balance sheet reconciliations and substantiation
- Intercompany accounting and reconciliation
- Statutory accounting and statutory financial reporting
- Statutory audit coordination and delivery
- Tax reporting, compliance and filings
- FP&A, budgeting and forecasting
- Management reporting
- Finance master data and data quality, where within the finance operations remit
- Other finance activities transferred into the Shared Service Centre

- Functional strategy and policy

Essential Experience
- Proven track record of leading a sizeable finance shared service centre or global business services organisation, with direct accountability for its operational performance.
- Ideally substantial leadership experience in the Philippines, with a strong understanding of the local talent market and shared-services environment.
- Experience leading multiple finance disciplines, ideally including Record-to-Report, Group Reporting, statutory reporting, tax compliance and FP&A.
- Experience operating a finance organisation serving a large international legal entity population across multiple jurisdictions.
- Demonstrated experience managing performance through KPIs, SLAs, productivity measures, quality metrics and service governance.
- Strong understanding of finance controls, governance, risk and operational resilience.
- Demonstrated ability to manage capacity, cost and productivity across a large finance organisation.
- Experience working in a global matrix where operational accountability is separate from global functional accountability.
- Proven experience leading an organisation through significant change, such as centralisation or migration of finance activities, operating-model redesign, organisational restructuring, technology transformation, automation or significant scaling.
- A track record of taking an organisation from its current state to a materially different target operating model while maintaining business continuity and service quality.
- Experience building leadership capability, developing talent and creating a high-performance culture through periods of change.
- Strong stakeholder-management skills, with the credibility to operate with senior global finance leaders and challenge constructively where required.
- Previous senior finance shared services leadership experience in the Philippines.
- Experience establishing, scaling or materially transforming a Manila-based finance shared service centre.
- Experience centralising finance activities from multiple countries or business units into a single shared service organisation.
- Experience managing a large-scale statutory reporting and compliance operation across multiple jurisdictions.
- Experience using automation, data and AI to materially improve finance productivity and service quality.
- Experience in a multinational, multi-entity organisation of comparable complexity to IWG.
- Experience managing a combination of transactional, accounting, reporting and analytical finance activities within a single operating model.
- Experience working with external auditors and professional service providers at significant scale.
- Proven shared services leader - Has personally run a complex SSC/GBS organisation and understands what it takes to deliver finance at scale.
- Change leader - Has demonstrated the ability to take an organisation through significant change, rather than simply maintain an existing operation.
- Operator - Highly disciplined around delivery, deadlines, quality, controls, capacity and cost.
- Builder - Capable of developing the organisation, leadership team, capabilities and culture.
- Commercial and productivity focused - Continuously looks for ways to improve the economics of the operation without compromising control or quality.
- Globally minded - Comfortable managing a global entity population across cultures, jurisdictions and time zones.
- Matrix savvy - Able to operate effectively where functional authority sits outside Manila while retaining clear operational accountability.
- Technology oriented - Understands how automation, data, AI and process redesign can fundamentally change the economics and quality of finance delivery.
