Job Description
A Core Engineering QA engineer is responsible for the creation of tests to identify issues with software before the product launch. Duties include identifying and analyzing any bugs and errors found during the test phase and documenting them for review after. Other tasks include developing and running new tests, either manual or automated, reporting on the results and collaborating with software developers to fix program issues.
A QA engineer is expected to have an excellent knowledge of the application domain to expand test plans as the program evolves and guarantee enough test coverage. He/she should also be able to interact with support engineers and customers to understand their software quality needs and translate them into test cases.
Responsibilities
Create test cases and test plans to identify software problems
Analyze bugs and errors found during tests
Document results of tests for the software development team
Recommend improvements in software to enhance user experience
Motivate the development process for efficiency and performance
Work together with the software developer to enhance and improve programs
Develop and maintain automated test cases
Develop standards and procedures to determine product quality and release readiness
Research new tools, technologies, and testing processes

Requirements
Proven experience in enterprise software testing
High proficiency in computer technology and programming languages
Strong knowledge of Linux and Microsoft Windows
Good knowledge of Java, Python, SQL and scripting languages
Exceptional attention to detail
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Good oral and written English communication skills
Great team player and able to work efficiently with minimal supervision
Able to communicate successfully with technical counterparts inside and outside the company
Requisite Education And Experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar
Minimum of 2-3 years experience in software development environment(s) and software testing
Preferred Education & Experience
Software Testing Certification (ISTQB or similar)
Cloud Certifications (AWS, GCP, Azure)
Experience with enterprise search platforms (Solr, Lucene, Google, Elasticsearch)
