Job Description

Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
Review journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial reports.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and internal controls.
Manage, coach, and develop a team of General Ledger accountants.
Partner with finance teams, business stakeholders, and auditors.
Serve as the escalation point for complex accounting matters.
Drive process improvements, automation, and standardization initiatives.
Lead transitions, process migrations, and knowledge transfer activities.
Support system implementations and finance transformation projects.
Monitor KPIs, SLAs, and operational performance metrics.

The Successful Applicant

A successful GL Team Lead should have:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field CPA is a must.
8-10 years of R2R or General Ledger accounting experience.
2-3 years of people leadership experience.
Strong expertise in financial reporting, reconciliations, month-end close, and intercompany accounting.
Experience in audit support and shared services operations.
Knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, and internal control requirements.
Proficiency in SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar ERP systems.
Advanced Excel and reporting skills.
Experience in transitions, process migrations, and transformation projects.
Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
