Role Description The GL, Tax and Compliance Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Makati. This position oversees general ledger activities, tax reporting, and regulatory compliance to ensure accurate financial records and adherence to local and corporate requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include supervising accounting staff, reviewing journal entries and reconciliations, monitoring statutory and tax filings, and coordinating internal and external audits. The role also involves preparing financial and compliance reports, implementing process improvements, and ensuring timely training and guidance for the team on new regulations and policies. Collaboration with finance, operations, and external advisors is essential to maintain strong internal controls and support business decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Strong supervisory skills, including team leadership, workload management, and performance coaching.
  • Expertise in regulatory compliance and tax requirements relevant to GL, statutory reporting, and corporate governance.
  • Robust analytical skills for interpreting financial data, performing reconciliations, and identifying process improvements.
  • Experience in auditing and internal control assessment, including coordination with internal and external auditors.
  • Ability to design and deliver training related to accounting processes, tax updates, and compliance standards.
  • Bachelor's degree in accountancy. CPA certification or equivalent is required.
  • Proficiency in ERP and accounting systems, with strong MS Excel skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions and levels.
  • Prior experience in a similar GL, tax, or compliance supervisory role, preferably in a multinational or shared services environment.
