Position Title: GL Junior Accountant

Job Description
We are looking for a Junior Accountant to support the General Ledger team in financial reporting, reconciliation, and month-end closing activities. The role will assist in various finance processes and projects while helping ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.
This position will also coordinate with local finance teams to resolve variances, support audit requirements, and contribute to budgeting and financial analysis activities within the Finance Shared Services Center.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting & Closing
Prepare journal entries and support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities
Perform account reconciliations based on established timelines
Assist the Senior Accountant in reviewing closing transactions of assigned entities
Budgeting & Financial Analysis
Assist local business units in preparing annual budgets and quarterly P&L estimates
Validate budget and estimate details including volume, sales, cost of sales, IT, and selling & marketing expenses
Update and publish financial statements (Actual vs Estimate) for variance analysis
Monitor performance indicators and analyze causes of financial variances
Reporting & Business Support
Gather, prepare, and analyze financial data and reports requested by business users
Support the preparation of Balanced Scorecard (BSC) reports and track reporting timelines
Assist in monitoring key financial reporting deliverables
Audit & Compliance
Support external audit requirements by preparing schedules and analysis required by auditors
Address audit inquiries in coordination with local finance teams
Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and SOX requirements
Additional Responsibilities
Participate in finance-related projects or initiatives as assigned
Perform self-assessment through the PLP process
Carry out other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor
Bachelor's Degree inAccountancy, Accounting Technology, or Commerce
CPA license is preferred but not required
2–3 years of relevant accounting experiencein a similar role
Experience working withSAP (AP, AR, or GL modules)
Knowledge ofSOX complianceis an advantage
Advanced proficiency inMicrosoft Excel and Google Workspace applications
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Willing to workshifting schedules (Europe time)
