Job Overview

The General Ledger Accountant ensures accurate financial records by performing ledger entries and reconciliations, supporting month-end and year-end closings, and maintaining intercompany balances. The role also involves tax and VAT support, data management, treasury functions, compliance audits, and assisting with various finance and HR reconciliations.

To ensure success, our GL accountant/s should demonstrate a sound knowledge of best practices in general ledger accounting and have experience in a similar role. More specifically, this position requires:

3-5 years related experience,

A pro-active, team player with the ability to meet goals and deadlines,

Strong problem-solving skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work independently & efficiently in a fast-paced environment,

Excellent collaboration and communication skills (written and verbal),

An organised individual, capable of prioritizing and handling multiple tasks/projects simultaneously as usually required for this role,

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Familiarity with ERP & accounting software, such as NetSuite,

A passion for compliance and financial regulation,

Good English skills.

Experience in the SAAS industry is a bonus red for the job, i.e. formal qualifications, certifications, experience levels, and specific competencies.
