The Role
We are seeking to appoint a highly experienced GIS Developer to join our existing team of GIS professionals. As a GIS professional, you will be part of a GIS delivery team that implements the standards we uphold in project we deliver. In conjunction with our clients and partners, CPB Contractors is delivering important and iconic projects across all key sectors of the construction industry, which means that we offer significant and diverse work opportunities.
Your Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a personal commitment to the company's Cultural Framework, policies, Safety Essentials and Management System requirements and expectations;
- Develop and maintain an awareness of company hazards and associated risks and demonstrate a commitment to eliminate or minimize those risks.
- Understand and effectively undertake the company's accountabilities.
- Advise on, implement and document GIS solutions for tenders and projects as required.
- Process, disseminate and maintain project spatial data and GIS applications as deployed.
- Assist in promoting the use of company GIS suite of products (ArcGIS And VertiGIS Studio) across projects.
- Contribute to the development of custom spatial tools (ETL, FME and VertiGIS Workflow 5) and as needed by projects teams.
- Assist in the development of adequate documentation such as training material, standards and procedures for the use of spatial tools and systems.
- Deliver support and discipline-tailored training sessions as needed on tenders and projects.
- Research and testing other spatial engineering tools that are compatible and useful to the company
- Utilize and testing mobile, desktop and server based applications that are compatible with the CPB Contractors Spatial system
- Provide timely technical project support in the spatial engineering areas of GIS Solutions, Asset Management, Mobile Mapping and other spatial related applications with efficient turnaround time
- Engage proactively with the company's GIS teams and the Business Unit's stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the wider Digital Engineering Group for the success of the teams initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements and all relevant Company and Group policies and processes.
- Contribute to instituting the GIS standardization of processes as needed.
What We're Looking For
- At least 3-5 years of working experience in Administering Enterprise ArcGIS, including managing, architecting and deploying ArcGIS products.
- High-level competency and experience in ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Server, Portal for ArcGIS, FME, Esri Javascript API 4.x and VertiGIS suite of products.
- Ability to self-manage with a flexible and proactive approach.
- Strong verbal and written communication with the ability to develop relationships and manage priorities
- Excellent knowledge of the Esri suite of products
- Excellent knowledge of the VertiGIS Studio products
- Excellent ability to code and script with Python and Javascript
- Demonstrated experience in developing GIS solutions including ETL, FME, and other Esri COTS applications.
- Excellent communication with problem solving and analytical skills.
- Experience in quality assurance, test strategies, test automation and developing test scripts towards maintaining a clean code base.
- Knowledge of modern DevOps principles and agile software methodologies.
- Effective documentation of developed spatial solutions as per the Corporate Management System standards.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills including testing, debugging, support and maintenance.
- Excellent communication with problem solving and analytical skills.
- Experience in using Geocortex and VertiGIS Studio.
- Ability to code and script with OpenLayers, CSS, HTML5, XML, JSON and SQL.
