GI Foreman

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily ground improvement activities to ensure work is executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications and approved methodologies.
• Lead and manage site crews, operators, and laborers engaged in ground improvement operations.
• Monitor daily production activities and ensure project targets are achieved within the agreed schedule.
• Coordinate the mobilization and operation of ground improvement equipment, ensuring maximum productivity and utilization.
• Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with approved method statements, quality requirements, and client specifications.
• Conduct daily site inspections and supervise work activities to ensure adherence to safety standards and HSE requirements.
• Coordinate with Site Engineers, Surveyors, QA/QC personnel, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth project execution.
• Monitor manpower allocation and equipment deployment to optimize operational efficiency.
• Record and report daily production, equipment utilization, manpower attendance, and site progress.
• Identify site issues, operational constraints, and technical challenges, and promptly report them to the Site Engineer for resolution.
• Ensure all equipment, tools, and materials are properly maintained, handled, and used efficiently.
• Conduct toolbox talks and ensure workers understand and comply with safety procedures and work instructions.
• Monitor ground improvement activities such as Vibro Compaction, Vibro Replacement, Dynamic Compaction, Soil Mixing, Stone Columns, or other related techniques, as applicable.
• Ensure quality requirements are achieved by coordinating inspections, testing activities, and quality control procedures.
• Maintain good housekeeping standards and ensure work areas are organized and free from hazards.
• Report accidents, incidents, near misses, unsafe acts, and unsafe conditions to management and the HSE Department.
• Participate in incident investigations and assist in implementing corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures, environmental requirements, and quality standards.
• Perform additional duties as required to support operational and project requirements.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Secondary School Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent technical qualification.
• Minimum 06 years of relevant experience in ground improvement, geotechnical, civil, marine, or construction projects, including experience in a supervisory role.
• Hands-on experience with ground improvement techniques such as Vibro Compaction, Vibro Replacement, Dynamic Compaction, Stone Columns, Soil Mixing, or similar methods.
• Experience in dredging, reclamation, and marine civil projects is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction site operations, equipment, manpower supervision, and productivity management.
• Good understanding of quality requirements, construction procedures, and HSE regulations.
• Proven ability to supervise multicultural workforces and coordinate multiple site activities simultaneously.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team-management skills.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, method statements, and work instructions.
• Basic computer skills and experience in preparing daily reports are an advantage.
