Geomatics Drafter

Geomatics / Civil 3D Drafter to join our growing team. This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in survey drafting, Civil 3D, and geomatics who enjoys working on a diverse range of infrastructure, municipal, land development, transportation, and industrial projects.

You will work alongside engineers, surveyors, and project managers to produce accurate survey drawings, base plans, and engineering deliverables while maintaining high drafting standards and project quality.

Key Responsibilities

    ●    Prepare survey plans, topographic plans, legal plans, and engineering base drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D.

    ●    Process survey field data from GPS, total stations, UAV, and laser scanning equipment.

    ●    Create and manage Civil 3D surfaces, alignments, profiles, corridors, and grading models.

    ●    Produce plan, profile, and cross-section drawings for municipal and land development projects.

    ●    Perform drafting revisions based on field information and engineering markups.

    ●    Assist with quantity calculations, earthworks, and volume reporting.

    ●    Maintain CAD standards, templates, and drawing quality control.

    ●    Coordinate with engineers, survey crews, clients, and project stakeholders.

    ●    Support project delivery while meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy.

Qualifications

    ●    Diploma or Degree in Geomatics Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, Surveying, or a related discipline.

    ●    Minimum 3+ years of experience in survey drafting or geomatics.

    ●    Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.

    ●    Experience processing survey data from GPS, total station, UAV, or LiDAR is considered an asset.

    ●    Strong understanding of coordinate systems, survey principles, and municipal engineering standards.

    ●    Excellent organizational and communication skills.

    ●    Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
