The GM will be responsible for leading, motivating, and aligning the organization—ensuring customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and continuous innovation to meet the evolving needs of our customers and communities.
Responsibilities:
- Lead nationwide mall operations, aligning senior management and teams with the company's strategy, KPIs, and performance targets.
- Drive operational excellence across all malls, ensuring consistent standards in efficiency, safety, sustainability, and overall performance.
- Lead expansion initiatives, delivering approximately 3 new mall expansions annually while ensuring readiness of people, systems, and processes.
- Elevate customer and tenant experience, building strong relationships with tenants, local stakeholders, and communities.
- Build organizational capability and succession, developing leadership talent, strengthening the talent pipeline, and ensuring the organization is prepared for sustained growth.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of senior leadership experience in multi-site retail, restaurant operations, FMCG, or similarly customer-centric businesses.
- Proven ability to lead large-scale operations and organizations of 600+ employees.
- Strong strategic planning, execution, and P&L/operational management capabilities, with a track record of delivering business growth.
- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills, with a strong customer and community orientation.
What the role actually entails and our ideal candidate:
- While the role carries significant operational responsibility, the mandate is highly execution-focused, with the GM working closely with and largely as an extension of the business owner. The environment is structured around close day-to-day oversight, operational checklists, and execution of established priorities, with relatively limited scope for independent strategic direction or long-term career progression.
- Another important consideration is the importance of pakikisama and strong Philippine cultural values in the organization. Beyond technical competence and leadership experience, the ability to build trust, maintain strong interpersonal relationships, and work effectively within the owner-led culture will be critical to succeeding in the role.
