General Manager – Luxury Hotel

Our client is a well-established luxury hospitality group, currently seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the operations of one of its flagship luxury hotel properties.

This is a senior leadership appointment for a hands-on hotelier who is commercially sharp, operationally strong, and able to drive service excellence across a high-touch luxury environment. The successful candidate will take full ownership of the day-to-day hotel operations, while also supporting the wider cluster when required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the full hotel operations and ensure consistent delivery of luxury service standards across all guest touchpoints.
  • Provide leadership and direction to department heads across Rooms, Culinary, Food & Beverage, Engineering, Security, Human Resources, and Service Quality.
  • Manage and guide senior leadership team, ensuring strong alignment across operations, service delivery, commercial priorities, and guest experience.
  • Drive operational excellence, financial performance, service quality, and employee engagement across the property.
  • Work closely with senior corporate and ownership representatives to execute business plans, strategic priorities, and brand/service positioning.
  • Maintain high standards in guest satisfaction, quality assurance, operational compliance, and luxury hospitality benchmarks.
  • Support cluster-level operations when required, particularly during the absence of senior leadership within the wider hotel group.
  • Partner with shared corporate functions to ensure smooth coordination across HR, Finance, Sales & Marketing, Revenue, and other support teams.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a large hotel team while building a culture of accountability, service excellence, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive initiatives to strengthen the hotel's luxury positioning and service reputation in the market.

Requirements

  • Current or prior experience as a General Manager within a luxury hotel environment.
  • Proven track record in leading sizeable hotel operations, including multiple department heads and large operational teams.
  • Excellent understanding of rooms, F&B, culinary, engineering, service quality, and overall hotel operations.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work closely with senior leadership, corporate office, and ownership representatives.
  • Commercially sound, service-driven, and able to balance guest experience with business performance.
  • Mature, disciplined, and highly aligned with senior leadership expectations.
  • Open to both local and expatriate candidates.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and people management skills.
