Job Description

Gross Monthly salary: Negotiable

The General Manager — Philippines (fulltime, based in Manila) is our anchor hire: the person who will build our Philippines business from the ground up. This is not a management role — it's a founder-mode role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Creator Acquisition & Management

Identify, sign, and manage top Filipino video creators in beauty, health, and FMCG verticals

2. Brand Partnerships & Revenue

Develop and close live commerce partnerships with FMCG and beauty brands (local and international)

Own the Philippines P&L — drive GMV, brand deal revenue, and affiliate commission income

3. Platform & Ecosystem Relationships

Be Melive's primary relationship holder with TikTok Shop Philippines (MCN, TSP, TAP programs)

4. Operations & Team Building

Set up and run the Manila office with lean operations (supported by Vietnam HQ team for the first 6 months)

Hire and build the local team as operations scale

Coordinate with Vietnam HQ on production, ads management, creative support, and reporting

5. Market Intelligence

Serve as the key strategic point for market intelligence on the Philippines creator economy, live commerce trends, and competitive landscape

Provide weekly market updates and strategic recommendations to To BU HEAD/ CEO.

Required skills and experiences

- 7+ years in live commerce (social commerce)/ MCN Agency/ Livestreaming industry in the Philippines

- Strong network within the Filipino creator and influencer ecosystem, with direct relationships with leading beauty and lifestyle creators

- Own the Philippines P&L — drive GMV, brand deal revenue, and affiliate commission income

- Proven business development track record, with personal ownership of closing brand deals or partnerships exceeding $100K annually

- Hands-on experience in TikTok Shop or social commerce, with a solid understanding of affiliate programs and live selling operations

- Entrepreneurial mindset — you thrive in ambiguity, build from zero, and take extreme ownership of outcomes

- Fluent in English and Filipino/Tagalog, both written and spoken, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-cultural environment

- Manila-based or willing to relocate immediately

Preferred skills and experiences

- Experience working at or with an MCN, influencer marketing agency, or FMCG/beauty brands

- Prior experience with TikTok, YouTube and other social/e-commerce platform

- Knowledge of the China/Douyin live commerce model and how it's being adapted for SEA

- Experience in performance marketing

- Mandarin or Vietnamese language skills (big plus for HQ coordination)

Experience setting up a new country/market operation from scratch
