Key Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Food Service Management, or related field
- Master's degree (MBA or equivalent) is an advantage
- At least 810 years of experience in catering, food service, or hospitality industry
- Minimum 35 years in a senior leadership role (Operations Manager, Catering Director, Food & Beverage Director etc.)
- Strong leadership with the ability to manage cross-functional teams (kitchen, service, logistics, sales)
- Experience in delegation and avoiding micromanagement (critical in growing catering businesses)
- Excellent decision-making and crisis management skills
- Ability to build and maintain a high-performance team culture
- Strong background in sales strategy and client acquisition
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to handle VIP clients, corporate accounts, and high-pressure events
- Experience in building long-term client relationships
- Results-driven and highly organized
- Hands-on but not controlling
- Calm under pressure (especially during events)
- Customer-focused mindset
- High integrity and professionalism
- Experience working with Filipino event culture (weddings, fiestas, corporate functions)
- Background in handling both premium and budget catering segments
Proven experience handling:
- Large-scale events (corporate, weddings, government functions)
- High-volume food production
- Multi-site or off-premise catering operations
Strong understanding of:
- Budgeting and cost control (food cost, labor cost, wastage)
- Profit & Loss (P&L) management
- Pricing strategies for events and packages
- Experience in increasing profitability and operational efficiency
Deep knowledge of:
- End-to-end catering operations (planning, production, delivery, execution)
- Inventory and supply chain management
- Event logistics and coordination
- Ability to ensure consistent quality and on-time delivery
Knowledge of Philippine regulations:
- Food safety standards (e.g., HACCP principles)
- Local government permits and sanitation requirements
- Ensures strict compliance with health and safety protocols
Ability to:
- Develop and execute growth strategies
- Identify new market opportunities (corporate catering, online, social media-driven sales)
- Adapt to trends (buffet styling, themed events, sustainable catering)
Familiar with:
- Catering management systems
- Basic financial software (Excel, POS systems)
- Social media and digital marketing trends
- Bonus (Highly Preferred in PH Setting)
- Strong local supplier network
