Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven General Manager – Financial Products & Services to lead the strategic direction, operational excellence, and financial performance of our growing financial services portfolio within a leading retail company. This role will drive the development, management, and expansion of financial services integrated into our retail operations, including microfinance, bills payment, cash services, and foreign exchange operations. The ideal candidate will leverage the company's extensive retail network to expand market reach, enhance customer convenience, drive business growth, and maximize profitability while ensuring regulatory compliance, effective risk management, operational efficiency, and exceptional customer service.

Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership & Business Growth

• Develop and execute business strategies to achieve growth, profitability, and financial inclusion objectives.
• Identify new market opportunities, products, and services within the financial services sector.
• Conduct market research and competitor analysis to maintain a competitive advantage.

Financial Management

• Lead budget planning, financial forecasting, and P&L management.
• Drive improvements in key financial metrics, portfolio quality, operational efficiency, and transaction volumes.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting to senior management.

Marketing & Customer Engagement

• Develop and implement marketing initiatives that support business growth and brand visibility.
• Manage marketing budgets and ensure strong returns on investment.
• Enhance customer experience through innovative and customer-focused financial solutions.

Operations & Risk Management

• Standardize and optimize operational processes across all financial service lines.
• Establish and strengthen risk management frameworks covering credit, liquidity, and compliance risks.
• Ensure adherence to all applicable financial regulations and reporting requirements.

Leadership & Team Development

• Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing team.
• Foster a culture of accountability, integrity, customer service, and results-driven performance.
• Promote collaboration and continuous learning across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• CPA designation is an advantage.
• At least 5-10 years of relevant leadership experience in Financial Services, FinTech, Microfinance, Banking, or related industries.
