Position Summary
The General Manager serves as the overall business leader for the restaurant brand, with full accountability for strategic direction, operational excellence, and financial performance. This role drives sustainable growth, strengthens market positioning, and ensures the delivery of a consistent, high-quality guest experience across all locations.
As a key member of the leadership team, the General Manager partners with cross-functional heads to align business strategies, optimize performance, and scale the brand effectively.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business Leadership & Strategy
- Own and lead the overall business strategy, including growth, profitability, and market expansion
- Translate corporate direction into actionable operational and commercial plans
- Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities, including store expansion, formats, and partnerships
- Drive innovation in operations, customer experience, and brand positioning
2. Full P&L Accountability
- Own end-to-end financial performance of the brand/business unit
- Set and deliver revenue, margin, and EBITDA targets
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes
- Optimize cost structures while maintaining quality and service standards
3. Operational Excellence & Scalability
- Ensure consistent execution of brand standards across all locations
- Build scalable systems, processes, and SOPs to support growth
- Oversee supply chain, quality assurance, and food safety standards
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across operations
4. Organizational Leadership
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing leadership team
- Drive talent strategy including succession planning, leadership development, and capability building
- Establish a strong performance culture with clear KPIs and accountability
- Partner with HR in organizational design and workforce planning
5. Customer & Brand Stewardship
- Champion a customer-first culture and ensure best-in-class guest experience
- Safeguard and strengthen brand identity and consistency
- Oversee customer insights, feedback loops, and service recovery strategies
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, HR, and other functions to drive integrated execution
- Align commercial campaigns with operational readiness
- Support data-driven decision-making across the organization
7. Governance, Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure full compliance with regulatory, legal, and safety standards
- Establish risk mitigation frameworks and ensure business continuity
- Uphold strong governance and internal controls
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
- 12–18+ years of experience in the restaurant industry
- At least 5–8 years in a senior leadership or executive role with multi-unit oversight
- Proven track record in scaling operations and delivering strong financial results
- Experience handling full P&L responsibility at a business unit or brand level
