Lead development and management the procurement part of the procurement-to-pay processes to support rapid growth in the operation:
- Maintain on time support to accounts payable for local and outsourced accounts
- Ensure Right First Time (RFT) Transaction processing across accounts payable
- Maintain procurement-to-pay file repository, including uploads, structuring and maintenance of transactional documents including purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices
- Implement and adhere to a lean-accounting function, mitigating changes of duplication and error, and minimising the time required for review, approval and analysis of senior accountants and controllers.
Support and champion the transactional accounts payable part of ERP implementation to provide the foundation for the business to scale.
- Go live of procurement-to-pay modules: transition accounts payable, from Snelstart in accordance with agreed project schedule.
- 100% resolve cases with other stakeholders in each month
- Build a model for tight project deadlines and accurate accounting outputs through training, testing and process evaluation.
- Support cost center accounting, tracking expenditure vs budget, and enforcing Grant of Authorities.
- Provide all ad-hoc financial support and project work to management.
- Provide weekly payment overview with due dates, level of importance, and if the correct approval flow was in place
- Provide 100% support to procurement and warehousing functions in their activities, including but not limited to stock counts, price variance analysis and remediation, and liaising with external stakeholders such as suppliers and logistic companies in order to do so.
- Create appropriate approval flow process which will be used by evety stakeholders and easy to read format (PO requests, PO's, prepayments, invoices etc.)
- Coordinate with all stakeholders to close the month end by Day 1 of each month
- Support general accounting and month-end procedures, to ensure accurate trial balances are completed by working day 3 each month.
- Build a process of owning every item on the balance sheet, there cannot be one single thing on there that you do not have an underpinning for
