Position Key Responsibilities
Financial Record Maintenance
- General Ledger: Prepare and maintain the general ledger in compliance with GAAP and PFRS (Philippine Financial Reporting Standards).
- Account Reconciliation: Reconcile all balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis (including bank reconciliations with bank statements), and prepare related journal entries and reports (e.g., roll-forwards and aging analysis).
- Accruals & Adjustments: Prepare monthly income and expense accruals alongside other adjusting journal entries.
- System Alignment: Reconcile financial records against the accounting system (SAP).
- Discrepancy Resolution: Research and resolve financial discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation for all journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Closing Process: Participate in the periodic closing process to ensure Group closing timelines are met.
Financial Reporting & Management Analysis
- Financial Statements: Prepare financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Statement of Changes in Equity, and Cash Flow Statement) and other relevant financial reports required by management.
- Activity Analysis: Analyze account activity and fluctuations to ensure the accuracy and completeness of information.
- Variance Analysis: Perform actual-to-actual variance analysis (month-on-month, year-on-year, etc.) to ensure account movements are reasonable, accurate, and complete.
Audit & Regulatory Compliance
- Regulation Review: Review and analyze financial transactions to determine compliance with regulatory bodies (e.g., SEC, BIR, LGU, BOI, SBMA, DOE, ERC requirements).
- External Audit Prep: Prepare full financial statements, including notes to financial statements, for external audit purposes.
- Statutory Filing: Prepare Audited Financial Statements and other reports required for statutory and regulatory filing.
- Audit Support: Support internal and external auditors throughout the audit process.
Additional Responsibilities
- Provide assistance and active participation in special projects as needed.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Ensure accounting controls and authorizations are in place and followed at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Role Requirements
Education
Bachelors degree in Accountancy, Finance, or any business-related course.
Certifications & Licenses
CPA license is an advantage but not required.
Work Experience
Requires 13 years of relevant experience.
Required Systems
SAP HANA, Anaplan Consolidation, MS Office.

- Experience in external audit and/or end-to-end bookkeeping, statutory reports preparation, and handling year-end audits is a distinct advantage.

- Work Schedule: At least 2 days Return-To-Office (RTO) per week, or as required by Information Systems (IS).

- Periodic financial closing.
- Financial Statement (FS) preparation and analysis.
- Liaising with internal and external auditors to complete and close audit requirements.
- Preparation and submission of statutory requirements to the BIR, SEC, LGU, DOE, ERC, BOI, SBMA, etc.
- Process improvement initiatives and other ad-hoc projects
