Role Description The General Accounting Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Quezon City. This position is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and maintaining accurate financial records, including journal entries, general ledgers, and account reconciliations. The role involves assisting in the preparation and analysis of financial statements, supporting month-end and year-end closing activities, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies. The General Accounting Specialist will work with accounting software to process transactions, monitor expense and revenue accounts, and support internal and external audit requirements. Day-to-day tasks also include resolving accounting discrepancies, collaborating with finance and operations teams, and preparing reports that support management decision-making.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Finance and the preparation and analysis of Financial Statements.
- Proficiency in Accounting Software and experience managing Journal Entries (Accounting).
- Excellent Analytical Skills with attention to detail and accuracy in numerical work.
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA) is an advantage.
- Relevant experience in general accounting or bookkeeping, preferably in retail or a similar fast-paced environment.
- Working knowledge of local accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams on-site.
