Job Description

Work Set Up: Remote

Employment Type: Full-Time

Schedule: 9:00AM to 5:00PM PST, M-F

Equipment: Bring-Your-Own Device (BYOD)

What does a day in the life of a General Accounting Specialist II look like

  • Process a high volume of accounting transactions efficiently and accurately, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Follow directions on method and processes of account reconciliations, trouble-shooting and resolving escalated issues as needed.
  • Respond to customer emails and calls in a courteous, professional, and timely manner
  • Reconcile bank statements and identify discrepancies.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate accounting reports and documentation.
  • Own complex account reconciliations during the month-end closing procedures.
  • Ensure adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal accounting controls.

What are the required qualifications of a General Accounting Specialist II

  • Must have a minimum of two years of experience in General Accounting
  • Demonstrated ability to apply US GAAP in day-to-day general accounting tasks, including reconciliations, reporting, and month-end close procedures
  • A degree in Business or Accounting is required.
  • Certified Public Accountant (PH), Licensed
  • Possess strong computer skills, including MS Word and MS Excel
  • Overtime may be required occasionally.
  • Nice-to-have: NetSuite and Coupa (tools background)
