Your Role
The General Accounting Officer is responsible in detailed account analysis and reconciliations, identifying discrepancies and recommending corrective actions. Supporting month-end and year-end closing, including review of journal entries and financial statements. Respond to complex accounting queries and provide guidance within the team. Also, assist in audits and internal reviews, providing detailed analysis and documentation. Identify opportunities for process improvements.
How you can contribute
- Analyze complex accounting transactions, reconcile accounts, and prepare management reports with variance explanations.
- Monitor adherence to company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements; proactively identify and mitigate risks.
- Drive improvements in accounting processes, reduce inefficiencies, and enhance the accuracy and speed of reporting .
- Prepare schedules, supporting documentation, and analyses for internal and external audits; coordinate with other department for issue resolution.
- Responsible for the accurate preparation of internal/external reports.
- Responsible for updating the Bank's Manuals.
- Assist in the preparation of Audited Financial Statements .
- Performs other tasks that may be assigned from time to time
Your Profile
- Bachelor of Science in Accountancy or business course Major in Accounting.
- At least 4 years work experience in a bank or quasi-bank is an advantage.
- Good grasp of Accounting Standards and BSP MOR
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel/Word/PowerPoint)
- Team-player, dependable and reliable
- CPA is an advantage
