Role Description The General Accounting and Fixed Asset Analyst is a full-time, on-site role based in Makati. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate general ledger records, preparing journal entries, and performing regular reconciliations to ensure the integrity of financial data. The role includes managing the fixed asset register, overseeing asset capitalization, tracking disposals and transfers, and ensuring proper depreciation in line with accounting policies and regulatory requirements. The analyst prepares periodic financial and management reports, supports month-end and year-end closing activities, and assists in internal and external audit requests. Day-to-day tasks also involve coordinating with various departments to gather financial information, resolving discrepancies, and contributing to continuous improvements in accounting processes and controls.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Accounting and Finance skills, including knowledge of general ledger processes, financial reporting, and relevant accounting standards.
- Candidates should possess solid Fixed Assets experience, including asset recording, capitalization, depreciation, and reconciliation of fixed asset schedules.
- Candidates should possess excellent Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions or process improvements.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to coordinate with internal teams, prepare clear reports, and present findings to management.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA) is an advantage.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel; familiarity with banking or financial services environments is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, integrity in handling financial information, and ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced setting.
