General Accounting Accountant

Role Summary

Responsible for core general ledger accounting activities, period close, and financial reporting support within a large, asset-intensive environment.

Key Responsibilities

-Maintain general ledger accounts; prepare and post journal entries

-Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities

-Perform account reconciliations and variance analysis

-Support statutory and management reporting requirements

-Partner with FP&A and operations to explain financial results

-Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies

-Collaborate with SAP MM users to ensure accurate financial postings from procurement and inventory transactions

Qualifications

-Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

-3–7+ years of general accounting experience

-Working knowledge of SAP FI

-Strong reconciliation and analytical skills

-Experience in oil & gas or similar asset‑heavy industries is a plus
