The role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically skilled
General Accountant with a strong focus on
Tax Compliance and Payroll Processing. The role will handle tax filings, payroll, reconciliations, general accounting, and financial reporting while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely completion of accounting activities.
Your Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end tax compliance, including tax calculations, preparation and filing of returns, tax books, and supporting schedules.
- Handle full-cycle payroll processing, including salary computations, government-mandated benefits, tax withholdings, and remittances.
- Perform tax, payroll, bank, and general ledger reconciliations and ensure accurate financial records.
- Record daily accounting transactions, journal entries, and maintain books using Xero or similar cloud-based accounting software.
- Manage Accounts Receivable, sales reporting, and revenue reconciliations as needed.
- Assist with month-end closing, financial statement preparation, and variance analysis.
- Ensure accounting records are accurate, complete, and audit-ready.
- Identify opportunities to improve and streamline tax, payroll, and general accounting processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide support on finance-related projects and other accounting activities.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of relevant hands-on accounting experience.
- Strong experience in Philippine tax compliance, payroll processing, general ledger accounting, and account reconciliations.
- Experience handling Accounts Receivable and sales reporting.
- Proficiency in Xero or other cloud-based accounting software is preferred.
- Strong MS Excel skills, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, and data analysis.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict filing and reporting deadlines.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Manufacturing industry experience is an advantage.
- CPA license is an advantage but not required.
