About the role
Reporting to the General Manager, this full-time Accountant role is a crucial part of the auxiliary business team at Power Mac Center. Based in Mandaluyong City, Metro Manila, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring the company's accounting practices adhere to industry standards and regulations.
What you'll be doing
- Preparing and reviewing accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss accounts, and cash flow statements
- Reconciling general ledger accounts and ensuring all transactions are properly recorded
- Assisting with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
- Calculating and processing payroll, including the administration of payroll taxes and other deductions
- Maintaining fixed asset registers and ensuring proper depreciation is calculated
- Supporting the month-end and year-end close processes
- Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax laws, and other regulatory requirements
- Providing ad-hoc financial analysis and support to the management team as needed
What we're looking for
- A bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar accounting role, preferably within the retail or food industry
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and financial reporting standards
- Proficient in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Office suite
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with cross-functional teams
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
