Role Description The General Accountant is a full-time, on-site role based in Morong, responsible for managing the day-to-day financial and accounting operations of Anvaya Cove. This role includes preparing and recording journal entries, maintaining general ledger accounts, and ensuring accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing activities. The General Accountant will handle account reconciliations, monitor accounts payable and receivable, and support payroll and expense reporting as needed. The role also involves preparing financial statements and management reports, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, and ensuring compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and relevant regulations. The General Accountant will collaborate with operations and other departments to provide financial insights, support audits, and help improve financial processes and reporting efficiency.
Qualifications
  • Strong foundation in general accounting, including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, account reconciliation, and financial statement preparation.
  • Proficiency with accounting software and office tools (e.g., Excel or similar spreadsheets, ERP systems, and basic reporting tools).
  • Knowledge of applicable accounting standards, internal control principles, and basic tax and regulatory requirements.
  • Solid analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in financial data.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and explain financial information clearly.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with capacity to meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA or equivalent) is an advantage.
  • Relevant experience in general accounting, preferably in hospitality, real estate, or resort operations, is highly beneficial.
  • Willingness to work on-site in Morong and adapt to a service-focused, family-oriented resort community culture.
