Job Description
Function as a subject-matter expert building Schemes/Analytes (Test Methods) for LIMS.
- Perform all work in strict adherence to QC standard laboratory procedures, i.e. ASTM, ISO, SOW, in house methods
- Review methodology with regards to raw materials, semi-finished goods, and finished goods according to defined instructions, procedures, and methods.
- Communicates basic observations regarding data and/or outcomes.
- Employs basic problem-solving skills to overcome production and laboratory bottlenecks.
- Reporting of methods according to accepted company lab practices.
- Communicate results, reports, and observations to internal/external stakeholders.
- Records data per documentation, SharePoint and applications, such as Global CCLAS.
- Participate in regulatory audits, as required.
- Understanding of mathematical and statistical techniques relevant to product testing.
- Complete other duties or tasks assigned by the Manager or other leadership.
- Ensures work area in GBS is always kept clean and presentable.
- Remains familiar with SGS quality assurance procedures.
- Complies to all SGS health and safety and HR policies and procedures.
- At all times, comply with SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, preferable in Chemistry or equivalent technical or professional qualification.
- Experience in a chemical laboratory is preferred.
- Must be familiar with analytical requirements, wet chemistry techniques, and/or ASTM/ISO.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English C1.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel tabling and charting, and SAP.
- Must be able to pivot and adapt to changing priorities in a high-speed environment.
- Must have good time-management and organizational skills.
- Must have a strong attention to detail.
- Must have good problem-solving skills.
- Must have solid interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to work as a team member and independently on multi-task assignments.
