Overview
Responsible for managing foreign exchange (FX) operations, payment flows, and financial data reporting across the business. The role combines operational finance, compliance awareness, and data analytics, with a strong focus on accuracy, timeliness, and reporting visibility.
Key Responsibilities
1. Foreign Exchange (FX) Management
- Monitor and calculate FX rates for daily transactions across multiple currencies
- Execute and manage FX conversions, ensuring competitive rates and minimal spread impact
- Reconcile FX transactions and verify accuracy of applied rates
- Track market movements and flag any significant rate fluctuations affecting business margins
2. Payment Operations
- Manage and process domestic and international payment transfers
- Ensure correct allocation of incoming and outgoing funds across accounts
- Monitor transaction flows to identify delays, discrepancies, or failures
- Coordinate with payment providers and banking partners to resolve issues promptly
3. Compliance & Transaction Oversight
- Ensure all transactions align with internal compliance policies and external regulatory requirements
- Maintain proper documentation for all payments (invoices, supporting evidence, transaction trails)
- Assist in responding to compliance reviews by providing accurate transaction data and explanations
- Flag unusual or high-risk transactions for further review
4. Data Reporting & Analysis
- Produce daily financial and operational reports using Microsoft Excel, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery
- Maintain structured datasets for transaction tracking, FX performance, and payment flows
- Analyse data trends to identify inefficiencies, cost leakages, or operational risks
5. Dashboard Development (Power BI)
- Design and build interactive dashboards using
- Visualise key metrics including:
- FX performance
- Transaction volumes
- Revenue and cost breakdowns
- Payment processing timelines
- Automate reporting processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual work
- Continuously improve dashboards to provide real-time insights for decision-making
6. Reporting Accuracy & Timeliness
- Deliver all reports on a daily basis, ensuring strict adherence to deadlines
- Maintain high attention to detail to prevent financial or reporting errors
- Implement checks and controls to validate data before submission
Key Skills & Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, reconciliation)
- Experience with for dashboard creation
- Understanding of FX markets and multi-currency transactions
- Knowledge of payment systems and financial workflows
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines
