The Bureau of the Treasury (BTr) is the principal custodian of the national government's financial assets, ensuring the availability of funds to implement various governmental programs and projects. It also plays a key role in formulating forward-moving developments in the capital markets, debt-servicing, and cash resources management.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Treasury Operations Officer III based in Manila, to be assigned to the Central Office - Asset Management Service - Fund Management Division (FMD-AMS). The Technical Assistant is expected to perform the following:
- Formulate and Implement Investment and Trading Strategies to Realize Target Income and Meet Liquidity Requirements
- Prepare Daily and Monthly Reports on Foreign Exchange Trading Activity in the Secondary Market
- Generate Investment and Market Analytics Report for Management Perusal
- Gather and Maintain Databases of Different Government-Managed Funds
- Conduct Interactive Relationships with Government Securities Eligible Dealers (GSEDs) and Other Market Participants
- Prepare Research Briefings on Latest Financial Market Updates and Developments
- Execute Ad Hoc Tasks in Relation to the Efficient Management of Government-Managed Funds
- Provide, Assist, and Development Forecasting Reports on Fx Analytics (USDPHP) and Interest Rates (BVAL)
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's Degree Relevant to the Job (Business Administration, Financial Management, Economics)
- Tenure: At least 2 years of Experience Relevant to the Position
- Experience: Proficient in Oral and Written Communication, Proficient in Computer Software such as GMail, Google Docs, Google Sheets
- Civil Service Professional Eligibility (2nd Level Eligibility) or Honor Graduate Eligibility (PD 907, Applies to Latin Honor Graduates)
