Functional Test Planning

Description

The Functional Test Planning role involves developing and executing test plans to ensure the quality and functionality of software products. The successful candidate will work closely with development and product teams to design effective test strategies that align with project goals.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute functional test plans based on project requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand system functionality and design test cases.
• Identify and document defects, ensuring thorough tracking and resolution of issues.
• Perform regression testing to ensure existing functionality is not affected by new changes.
• Maintain test documentation and report progress to stakeholders.

Skills and Qualifications

• 1-7 years of experience in software testing, particularly in functional testing.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
• Proficiency in test management tools and bug tracking systems.
• Experience with automated testing tools is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
