About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Functional Business Analyst to ensure that technology solutions meet business requirements, address user needs, and solve the intended operational problems.
You will work directly with clients, end users, product owners, developers, and quality assurance teams to understand business processes, identify pain points, document requirements, and validate delivered solutions.
This is a business-focused role. Coding and software development experience are considered assets but are not required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
- Lead stakeholder interviews, discovery sessions, requirements workshops, and proof-of-concept discussions.
- Understand and document current-state and future-state business processes.
- Identify operational pain points, process gaps, and improvement opportunities.
- Conduct fit-gap analysis between business requirements and proposed system functionality.
- Prepare Business Requirements Documents, process flows, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements for product and development teams.
- Collaborate with clients, product owners, developers, and QA teams throughout the solution lifecycle.
- Perform functional testing and validate that system functionality meets business requirements.
- Support User Acceptance Testing, including test scenarios, issue documentation, feedback coordination, and resolution validation.
- Participate actively and contribute effectively during client meetings, demonstrations, and project discussions.
- Ensure the delivered solution addresses the original business problem and end-user needs.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of experience as a Functional Business Analyst
- Proven experience as a Functional Business Analyst, Business Analyst, Business Systems Analyst, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of business operations, workflows, requirements analysis,and process improvement.
- Demonstrated experience gathering and documenting business and functional requirements.
- Experience creating BRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps, and workflow documentation.
- Experience facilitating client meetings, stakeholder interviews, and requirements workshops.
- Experience conducting fit-gap analysis.
- Experience supporting UAT and performing functional system validation.
- Ability to identify business pain points and translate them into practical functional requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
- Confidence communicating directly with clients, end users, and technical teams.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and critical-thinking skills.
- Basic understanding of software systems and technology concepts.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with software implementation, business automation, custom application development, or digital transformation projects.
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
- Familiarity with process-mapping, requirements-management, project-management, or collaboration tools.
- Experience working with product owners, software developers, and QA teams.
- Knowledge of databases, APIs, coding, or software development is an asset but not mandatory
